Drop off new, unused pajamas for boys and girls in sizes newborn to adult sizes and a book before December 10. Monetary donations are also welcome.
The National Elementary Honor Society is currently collecting pop cans to raise funds for the Christmas Parade fireworks. Donations can be dropped off outside the 5th/6th grade door facing the front parking lot or sent to school with a student.
Our annual concert, Christmas at Warriner, takes place Monday evening 6:30pm at CMU's Plachta Auditorium!
Welcome to our newest Board of Education Trustee, Mrs. Jackie Germain. Jackie was appointed at the October Board Meeting to the space left vacant by Kevin Bock. We thank Kevin for his support and thoughtfulness in decision making during his time on the Board.

As a reminder, this coming Tuesday evening at 5:30 p.m. is the first of two (2) Community Facilities/Bond Meetings this fall to gather information from the community about what they see as needs, ideas and concerns moving forward. The goal is to create a 1-, 5- and 10-year plan. Your input is VITAL to moving forward as a District to support the needs of our students, families and staff. The Board and community need to hear from anyone with a stake in Coleman Community Schools.
Please consider attending this Tuesday, November 30th, starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Jr./Sr. High Auditorium. Welcome to Kaelyn Guza-Jones who just started with us last week! Kaelyn will be working as COVID Support/Contact Tracer. Kaelyn has a great deal of background in the health field and is in college courses. She will assist with serial testing, contact tracing, quarantine attendance and supporting teachers to get work ready for students who quarantine. Please help Kaelyn feel welcome on the Comet Team!
We would like to thank Veterans Glen Mogg and Patrick Murray for talking with our students about their honorable service to our country. They also shared about the opportunities available to students if they desire to serve their country one day. It was a great way to celebrate Veterans Day at Coleman Jr/Sr High!
The Sanford American Legion Riders are hosting their annual ToyZ for KidZ dinner on December 3rd from 5-7 PM. Each dinner may be purchased with the donation of a new, unwrapped toy. You may also drop off any donations at the legion anytime between now and December 3rd, or contact them for other donation options. Midland High juniors Emily and Bella did an excellent job explaining the benefits of being involved with MCYL, such as learning skills like leadership, public speaking, community involvement, and believing in yourself. All applications are confidential in the department and several federal funding sources that benefit Coleman are determined by the number of families submitting these applications, such as Title and At-Risk funding. These funding sources allow us to pay for resources like paraprofessionals, counseling support, classroom materials, summer programming and more for our students.
