Coleman Athletic Boosters have generously contributed to the safety and support of our athletic teams. At Friday night's home football game, Mr. Greg Mallek was presented with a Safety/Golf Cart donated by the Boosters. This 2021 Club Cart includes a first responders first aid kit, ice packs, charging ports, flip down seat and Defibtech Lifeline AED system with a 4-year warranty. This will make it very easy to reach injured players, transport our refs and ensure the safety of everyone at the games. Thank you to the Boosters Board and also to all of the community members who have donated to the Boosters to help make this happen at the golf outing, Booster Bonanza and at other times.

Don't forget- Informational Community Meeting regarding the Nov. 5th Proposed Bond is this Wed., Sept. 11th @ 6pm in the Jr/Sr High School. Anyone with an interest in Coleman Schools is encouraged to attend and learn how you can vote early, what is included in the bond and how it has been reduced to 1.6 mills over the 2024 levy in order to support community feedback. We hope to see you there!

The 6th graders had a fun time working together and creating with Legos (Synergy!) The classes were split into teams of 4. Each team had to work together and decide what they were building and how they were building it. They did a great job! Look at that Comet Creed masterpiece! It even has a mini Mrs. Araway, Mrs. McCormack, and Mrs. Klopf overseeing everything - but the best part is the mini Deputy Hodges in the watchtower!! Ms. Timlin and Mrs. Lynch's classes did great with the 6th habit of Leader in Me! #LEADLikeAComet #ColemanCometPride

We have a number of new staff members to welcome to the district! We would like to officially welcome Ms. Kaitlynn Kendrick who is teaching the additional Kindergarten class that was added. Ms. Kendrick is a Coleman grad and has hit the ground running in all areas, including teaching the First 8 Days of Leader in Me to her littles and putting in a lot of time and energy to make things go well for her students. Welcome Kaitlynn - so excited to have you with us! Mrs. Nicole Wiggins is now with us officially as a paraprofessional at the elementary and helping in one of our Kindergarten classes. We appreciate her excitement about working with our kids. Welcome, Mrs. Wiggins! Ms. Mikayla VanOrden began with us as a paraprofessional at the elementary this week. Ms. VanOrden is kind and soft spoken with a big heart for helping others. Excited to have you on the team, Mikayla! Please welcome her. Congrats also to James Schaefer, who will be our next IT Student in the Tech Department. James is a 10th grader at the Jr/Sr High and excited about this job working with Mr. Burkhart and the rest of the tech team, which he is hoping parlays into a future career. Nice work, James!

In only the second week of school, it sounds like the students in Mr. Falor's Finance Class are already learning tons! They're working on setting SMART goals, short and long-term education and financial goals, and using tools like the Ramsey Investment Calculator to help them see the value of investments. Did you know your retirement savings could end up being TWICE as much if you start investing at age 18 versus age 26?! Check out the Ramsey Investment Calculator here to see an example just one of the things students are learning at Coleman Schools. https://www.ramseysolutions.com/retirement/investment-calculator

The Jr/Sr High students recently received some new recess equipment! The equipment was purchased after sending out a survey to get feedback last year from parents, students and staff on their recommendations for district safety and wellness needs. You asked . . . We responded! Thanks for sharing your thoughts! #LEADLikeAComet

Mrs. Hess wanted to shout-out these seniors she noticed making lunchtime fun by choosing to play Spoons when they could have chosen to be on their phones. We love to see our Comets having fun! #ColemanCometPride

Mrs. Pelletier‘s third graders played a game that teaches cooperation and communication. The goal of the game is to get the correct colored ball into the correct colored hole. Students have to work together to communicate and cooperate so that the ball doesn’t go every which way. It was enjoyed by all and we all found Leaders in ourselves! #LEADLikeAComet #ColemanCometPride
