Today is Coaches/ Advisors Recognition Day! We have so many people who give their time above and beyond their typical work day to support our students in athletics and extracurricular activities. We know the energy it takes to contribute to these great clubs and events that our students get to enjoy and that help them to grow into better teammates, friends and community members. The work you do with them also helps to teach them leadership skills they will take with them far beyond school. THANK YOU for your time and knowledge with our kids!

Today is Custodial/Maintenance Recognition Day - a day to celebrate our crew and the tremendous hard work they do. Mr. O'Dell, Mr. Waddington, Mr. Rhynard, Mr. Compton, Mr. Housner, Mr. Sharpe and as an honorary member, Mr. Mogg, are an incredibly valuable part of our team. These guys keep everything running smoothly and every area of the district looking good and keeping it clean. This, in turn, makes everyone else's  jobs easier and keeps our students and staff as healthy as possible.  Please take a minute to say thank you, give them a token of appreciation or a short note letting them know that you recognize all they do for us around here.

Happy Michigan College Month!

Each October, school staff rally around the goal of providing every high school senior with the opportunity to apply to college and for financial aid. Special focus is placed on assisting students who would be the first in their families to attend college and students who may not have otherwise seriously considered applying to college. Michigan College Month can open the door for students by encouraging them to take the most significant steps toward college in their senior year.

Seniors will use the attached lists to help them decided which colleges they want to apply to at Senior Application Day on October 7th.

🍎 We would like to welcome several new people officially to our Comet Team. Each of these new members will work as paraprofessionals supporting students in our schools. We are incredibly excited to bring their skillset to Coleman. 💙🤍💙🤍

🌟 Please welcome Ms. Sarah Ross who will be at our Jr/Sr High, Mrs. Darci Cole who will be in the Elementary and Ms. Jessica Dashner who will support Culinary, Media Center and other classroom needs at the Jr/Sr High. ✏️📚 All of these ladies started with us yesterday, Sept. 29th. 💛 Please help them feel at home!

We want to sincerely thank the entire community of Coleman Schools for your unwavering support of our students as everyone shared their Comet Pride at an even greater level over the past few weeks to help us with our push for the T-Mobile Friday Night Lights Grand Prize. We were incredibly fortunate to receive $5,000 toward our football facilities and just as importantly, had the chance to show how this community comes together. We received word last week that we did not receive the $25,000 or move forward in the competition. But, what we did do was make some lasting memories, get some great shots of our students and community and recognize all that makes Coleman great!
