The 3rd grade classrooms have been in a 'war' since Christmas break. They have been hiding things in each other’s rooms and leaving notes for the class. This time, Mrs. Pelletier's class hid glittery ducks and highland cows in Mr. Liechty’s room. We wonder what will happen next in 3rd grade?





Three Junior High students were named local winners in the 56th annual America & Me Essay Contest, sponsored by Farm Bureau Insurance: Quinn Didaleusky, first; Kasey Carmen, second; and Savannah Lattimer, third. The topis was “My Personal Michigan Hero.”
As the school’s first place winner, Quinn’s name will also be engraved on a plaque for
permanent display at the school. In addition, her essay will advance to the state level of
competition. Those winners will be announced later in the spring.
Several thousand eighth grade students from over 200 Michigan schools participated in
the 2024-2025 America & Me Essay Contest. Started in 1968 and open to all Michigan eighth grade students, the contest encourages Michigan youth to explore the greatness of America and its people. As the sponsor of the contest, Farm Bureau Insurance has earned eleven national awards.


Today is Paraprofessional Recognition Day and we have so many great ones! We appreciate all that they do for each of our kiddos and to the support they provide for us as well. If you see any of your favorites today, please be sure to express your appreciation.

Congrats to our bonus March employee of the month, Jr/Sr High Teacher, Holly Wentworth! ☄️These awards are granted based on staff nominations; final decisions are made by the Board. She was nominated for making some really amazing connections with students, making her classroom look AMAZING, and for hitting the ground running after only having her own classroom here for just a few months.
Holly will enjoy one month of parking in the reserved 'Employee of the Month' parking space at her building, one month of getting the 'Employee of the Month' trophy on her desk, and one month of bragging rights. Coleman's own, Kapre Lynch finished competing at the USA Powerlifting HS Nationals today. She set a PR in the deadlift and finished 11th! She did an amazing job on the biggest stage and showed what Coleman has to offer. Great job to her and Coach Thomas for all of their hard work!

Terry Farley and her daughter McKennzie donated 100 boxes of cereal for the Elementary’s cereal drive. Thank you so much Terry and McKennzie!
Elementary students hope to collect more than 1,006 boxes of cereal for a dominos set up and food drive donation. Donations are accepted through next Thursday.

The Athletic Department would like to recognize another sport on another day. Today are our powerlifters who represented our school at the State competition. Zach McPhee showed growth all season and finished with personal records in every category during the final competition. Zach set a PR in every. lift. He went 9 for 9 with the following records: squat 430lbs, bench 240lbs, deadlift 445lbs, Total of 1115lbs. Kapre Lynch finished the day going 8 for 9 on her lift attempts. She finished All-State in 4th place with a total PR of 655lbs. She also set PRs in Squat with 215lbs and Deadlift with 315lbs. Kapre is heading to Wisconsin to compete at the National level on Friday! We want to wish her the best.

We are excited to announce that we have another Comet signing to play college football this Friday at 11:00 in the auditorium. Jared DeVrieze will be taking his talents to Trine University this fall.
