If you’ve been looking for a way to support the school district but you haven’t checked out our Give Local Midland page yet, what are you doing!? Of course, we deeply appreciate all donations – but don’t forget the power of a SHARE! Thanks to everyone who has helped us out today by donating and by sharing these posts out to your networks – we couldn’t do it without you! https://www.givelocalmidland.org/organizations/coleman-community-schools Recently, our Jr/Sr High students suggested a school-wide rock-paper-scissors competition in order to raise staff and student morale . . . and we might have to make it an annual thing! Students and staff cultivated connections all day, building good sportsmanship and prioritizing a positive district culture. In this picture, a student takes the "crown" from a staff member after defeating him!

There’s still time to help us win the “Lunch Break” award! If you make a social media post explaining why you’re supporting us between now and 1:00 pm, we might win an additional $300 for our Endowment Fund! Can you help us? Be sure to use the hashtag #GiveLocalMidland. Read up on our story and endowment fund on our fundraising page here! https://www.givelocalmidland.org/organizations/coleman-community-schools Drama Club cultivates more connections than I have time to list! This program brings together students of all ages, builds friendships, improves creativity skills, teaches students about classic stories, encourages leadership, public speaking, teamwork . . . the list goes on! Here the students are pictured during their performance of "Be Our Guest" from "Beauty of the Beast." (P.S: they did an amazing job!)

You’ve seen these posts all day, but have you taken a chance to look at our fundraising page, yet? Supporting this cause means that your dollars can support generations to come – that’s the beauty of an Endowment Fund! Read our story and donate here: https://www.givelocalmidland.org/organizations/coleman-community-schools Here, two of our middle school students pose with their Peace Posters from the annual competition judged by the Lions Club! What better way to cultivate connections with the community and to get in touch with their personal integrity? We love to see their hard work and love the message even more!

We’re still trying to win the “Coffee Break” award! Don’t put off your donation until later – if we earn more in donations than any other nonprofit today between 9:00 am and 10:00 am, we’ll win an extra $300! Help us out by making a donation or by SHARING this post. We can do this! https://www.givelocalmidland.org/organizations/coleman-community-schools Our school district cultivates connections via Chippewa Nature Center quite often! Through our special grant-funded partnership with CNC, we can provide our students with real-world lessons based on our updated science curriculum. We're so glad to provide unique learning experiences to our students on a regular basis!

#GiveLocalMidland starts NOW! Donate sometime between now and 1 am to help us win the “Early Bird” award and an extra $300 towards our endowment fund! What's an endowment fund? Learn more and donate here: https://www.givelocalmidland.org/organizations/coleman-community-schools Agriscience students pose with their FFA certificates after the annual FFA banquet! FFA cultivates Comet connections by encouraging leadership opportunities via student officers, expanding student horizons with each state convention and conference, and by connecting with students from other districts to improve peer relationships. How cool is that?

Let’s attempt to win another prize! If we are able to earn the most in donations between 9:00 am (now!) and 10:00 am than any other participating organization today, we'll win the "Coffee Break" award and an additional $300 for our endowment fund! (A nice chunk to go towards our $3,000 goal today . . .) Let's go for it! Don’t forget to SHARE to help us win! https://www.givelocalmidland.org/organizations/coleman-community-schools Our Culinary students had many opportunities to cultivate connections this year, as well! This image is from one of their "stressors," which are realistic recreations of what it's like to work in a restaurant. We invited staff and community members to stop by and order breakfast just like a real restaurant. . . . and the students did amazingly under the pressure!

Please SHARE to help spread the word! https://www.givelocalmidland.org/organizations/coleman-community-schools The Veteran's Day ceremony was an excellent opportunity for students to feel connected with our community, and vice versa! Student enjoying learning and singing a representative song for each branch of the military, as well as reciting stories, offering gifts to our visiting Veterans, and thanking them all for their service. It was a meaningful experience for all.

There’s no better day to support your favorite nonprofit . . . and we know we’re it ;) You can donate to our endowment fund anytime, but during Give Local Midland, there are lots of opportunities to earn extra prizes and matching funds, not to mention that all donations today go directly to the spendable portion that we can access immediately! Take a second today to donate or SHARE our posts to help us support future projects that support our students! https://www.givelocalmidland.org/organizations/coleman-community-schools The 3rd grade had the opportunity this year to visit Lansing, and it was an awesome opportunity to cultivate Comet connections! Students learned all about Michigan government, history, and culture, and had a great time doing it.

Our food service staff is the best! Thank you for the effort you put into your job on a daily basis. It's no secret that they always serve with a smile and put a little love into everything they make. This group puts about 600 people through their lines daily; imagine doing that in your own kitchen! They keep our stomachs from growling and kids from getting "hangry". Take a second today to thank to food service worker that's in your life!
