Unfortunately, we are cancelling the 7th and 8th grade activity night for Sept. 24 due to health reasons.
Chartwells, like many other businesses and organizations, is experiencing supply chain issues. Their staff will make every effort to keep us and you updated.
Welcome to our School Nurse, Mrs. Korin Weber, who is pictured with her first patient, 6th grader, Bentley Longton. Mrs. Weber met Bentley minutes after officially reporting for duty. She's met a few more students since then and has talked to a few parents.
On Friday, Sept. 24, we will hold our first activity night for 7th and 8th graders from 3-5 p.m. The cost is $4. We will have a DJ in the cafeteria and the gym will be open. All 7th and 8th graders are welcome to attend. We hope to see you there!
Reminder that there is NO SCHOOL tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 3rd or Monday, Sept. 6th due to the Labor Day Holiday. Have a fun, warm and safe holiday weekend. See you on Tuesday, Sept. 7th!
Just a friendly reminder that today, Wed., Sept. 1st, starts our Early Release Wednesdays which occur every Wednesday unless there is a half day. Early Release at the Elementary is at 2 pm and at the Jr./Srn High at 1:50 pm. Teachers and staff continue with professional development and work from 2-3:30 on those days to continue to improve instruction and delivery of services to our students.
Welcome to Alexandria Infante, new First Grade Teacher, who will be starting today with students in one of our classroom. We are excited to bring Ms. Infante on board as she was highly regarded by teachers she has worked with in the past, has a strong understanding of high quality instruction and a very positive demeanor in engaging students. Please help us make her feel welcomed!

Thank you to the Comet Football Team who recently took the time in the heat to put out wood chips under all of the playground equipment at the elementary, making things safe for the K-6 kids. Open House is this evening- Elementary 5:30-6:30 and Jr./Sr. High 6-7:00. If you are curious about our programs and offerings as a potential School of Choice or Home School student or just an interested community member, stop by. All enrolled returning and new students and their families will receive locker combinations, schedules, teacher names and be able to meet with their teachers. There will be local agencies, food and a chance to get your Comet gear. Looking forward to seeing everyone!
The open houses are coming up on Aug 25th! The elementary school's is from 5:30-6:30, and the high school's is from 6-7. There will be food provided, as well as an immunization/vaccine clinic. Come get your schedules, classroom assignments, locker combs, and more! See ya there!
These girls had a pretty good day showing today. Alyssa took 1st in her weight class and market pen and Maz took 7th in her weight class. Ava’s day didn’t go as planned; her lamb re-injured her knee in showmanship and was then scratched her from showing her market pen. The family sends a huge thanks to Logan for offering to show her lamb in market “they” took 3rd!! Huge amounts of work and care goes into these animals looking before the fair and during. The Sysak kids have been hard at work. Vance placed 6th in showmanship and Klaira placed 3rd. Each of them had about 20 pigs in their class. Both pigs took 4th in their market division. MaryAnn weighed in at 257lb and Ginger 284lb.
