On Count Day, Mrs. Shoultes and Mr. Templeman gave out gifts in a random drawing! Pictured are some kids picking prizes. They did one drawing in the morning and one in the afternoon, drawing two names per class each time. We also did a drawing for the Jr/Sr High School, 5 students per grade and these students came to the office and picked a drink, chips and candy bars from the selection provided. All just for coming to school!

Just a couple more pictures left from Spirit Week: 6th graders posing for Hat Day and Crayon Day. We love seeing so many kids participating in Homecoming celebrations all week long!

We are fortunate to work with some wonderful administrators who care so much about their students and teams and bring incredible energy and intelligence. to their roles.
Thank you Jen McCormack, Sara Hegel, Cindy Araway, Michael Cowell, Jen Hess, Wade O'Dell, Scott Baase and Amy Klopf for your support, your humor and being a team we can count on.
If you have a minute to share a kindness, a quick note, a thank you or small gift with any of them, please show them your appreciation.

Remember the book Caps for Sale? Mrs. Whittington's Kindergarteners took to the drawing board to determine where the monkeys might have gone at the end of the story. What's your guess?

Mr. McCormack & Mrs. Kane (student teacher) recently used dry ice to examine phase changes in the lab last week during the 9th grade Physical Science class. They watched sublimation in action - dry ice is one of those rare substances that go directly from a solid to a gas. It’s especially fun because you can see the gas/vapor. Then we added dish soap to make the bubbles which made the gas produced really visible! #GrowingForTheFuture

Congrats to the September employees of the month! (Sorry we're a bit behind in sharing!) These awards are granted based on staff nominations; final decisions are made by the Board. These employees enjoy one month of parking in the reserved 'Employee of the Month' parking space at their building, one month of getting the 'Employee of the Month' trophy on their desk, and one month of bragging rights. Thanks for being outstanding employees! We appreciate your hard work and dedication to the district!

The Readers to Leaders volunteers from Faith United Methodist Church in Coleman spent an afternoon last week training with Mrs. Linda Stachowiak in preparation for their work with Coleman Elementary School readers. We appreciate this dedicated group of volunteers who will be working with our students over the weeks of this school year to improve reading skills! Thank you!
