During the visit, they learned more about how school funding moves through both the House and Senate while also hearing impactful stories from youth and staff about the benefits of school-based clinics. 💬🏫
The group even had the opportunity to “meet” Governor Gretchen Whitmer as she shared encouraging words with students about the importance of advocacy work and using their voices to create long-term change. 👏

These students and Chef Moore were put to the test, serving nearly 400 people at the event — and they responded tremendously. 💪👨🍳👩🍳
Their hard work and culinary expertise did not go unnoticed. The DARE team received many compliments on how delicious the food was!
Deputy Wakeman shared that he is proud to have the opportunity to work with these students and Chef Moore. They represented Coleman Community Schools in such a positive manner. ☄️💙
