Coleman Youth Wrestling had an incredible weekend- 10 kids wrestled at MYWAY Regionals and all 10 kids placed. 9 of them are going on to the State Championship!!!

The 2022 Board Scholar list is posted! Qualified students must have made the honor roll for the last three marking periods with no negative citizenship marks. Students listed must pick up a Board Scholar form available in the school office. Awards will be presented April 6 at 6:30pm in the Jr/Sr High auditorium.

Our National Honor Society chapter will host a bake sale at the Coleman Area Library Thursday and Friday! Proceeds will pay for membership fees and graduation stoles for seniors.

Mr. Jesse Kalitta has been offered the Boys Varsity Track position for Coleman High School. Mr. Kalitta started with us as a student teacher and now teaches history, social media, online courses and supports students through interventions. Mr. Kalitta is excited to get started working with Mr. Thomas who is the Girls Varsity Coach and has personal experience across multiple track events. He brings an enthusiasm for working with our students and building their skills and is interested in building the program from the ground up by supporting our younger students interested in track with our high school students as leaders. Please take a moment to congratulate Mr. Kalitta when you have the chance!

Beginning Tuesday, March 22nd, free after-school tutoring will be available for any interested 7th through 12th grade Coleman students, especially those needing extra help in math, English, and social studies subject areas. Sessions will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-4pm in the Jr/Sr High School library. All students must provide their own ride home at 4pm. Sign up in the Jr/Sr High School office now!

A tremendous thank you to Mrs. Karen Bressette, who has spent many years as a member of the Coleman Schools' Board of Education, most recently as the Board Treasurer and serving on the Board Finance/Facilities Committee. Karen has recently stepped down from the Board, and in her words, "I have learned so much and have felt it was such a meaningful way to serve my community. I am proud of the work that has been done these last years to take our school to the next level, with research and evidence-based practices. I will always be grateful for the experience." Karen has been a strong supporter of what is best for all students, with additional background in that which serves students with special needs. Each year she has continued her interest in learning about the finances, laws and duties of a Board of Education member. A sincere thank you, Karen, for your many years of service and care for our students, families and staff.
The Coleman Schools' Board of Education is currently taking Letters of Interest for those willing to interview at the March 21, 2022 Regular Board Meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the Jr./Sr. High Auditorium. Letters of Interest should be dropped off at the Board Office, 4823 N. Coleman Schools Drive, Coleman or sent to kberthume@colemanschools.net, no later than March 17, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. Interested applicants must be Coleman School District residents.
