Mr. Kalitta's psychology/sociology class tried out the Stroop test today! 🔴🟠🟡🟢🔵🟣 The Stroop test is a classic psychological experiment that shows how perception can be distorted by attention and cognition, why multitasking often fails, and how automatic behaviors shape what we see and respond to. Students recorded how long it took them to read aloud each of the 3 pictured tests. Despite them all being very similar tests, results were very different! Have you ever tried the Stroop test?

We want to sincerely thank the entire community of Coleman Schools for your unwavering support of our students as everyone shared their Comet Pride at an even greater level over the past few weeks to help us with our push for the T-Mobile Friday Night Lights Grand Prize. We were incredibly fortunate to receive $5,000 toward our football facilities and just as importantly, had the chance to show how this community comes together. We received word last week that we did not receive the $25,000 or move forward in the competition. But, what we did do was make some lasting memories, get some great shots of our students and community and recognize all that makes Coleman great! Thank you for your effort and we hope soon to be able to still share our video with you of what Friday (or Saturday) Night Lights is all about #students #studentathletes #community #Coleman #CometPride

Exciting news! 🎉 We've been installing solar panels on campus this summer that cost us ZERO dollars and will potentially save us THOUSANDS, thanks to the Michigan School Energy Cooperative and NorthStar Solar Panels! ☀️ We are installing two sets of panels, one near each building. The best part? We'll save money, utilize unused space, and use them as a unique learning tool for students to learn more about solar energy. Sound too good to be true?
