Find out how JRE employees energized their careers, see their work, and hear how the decision to enter skilled trades has led to successful and rewarding careers. Comets Communicate is coming up! This event is for Jr/Sr high parents interested in sharing their thoughts and becoming informed on school-wide initiatives. There will be samples of our daily food options and a gift card drawing! It will take place at 6 PM on Thursday, March 24th in the Jr/Sr High Auditorium. Coleman Youth Wrestling had an incredible weekend- 10 kids wrestled at MYWAY Regionals and all 10 kids placed. 9 of them are going on to the State Championship!!!
Congratulations!!


The 2022 Board Scholar list is posted! Qualified students must have made the honor roll for the last three marking periods with no negative citizenship marks. Students listed must pick up a Board Scholar form available in the school office. Awards will be presented April 6 at 6:30pm in the Jr/Sr High auditorium.

Our National Honor Society chapter will host a bake sale at the Coleman Area Library Thursday and Friday! Proceeds will pay for membership fees and graduation stoles for seniors.


Jr./Sr. High Daily Announcements 3/14/22: The Board Scholars lists for both Jr. and Sr. High are posted in the cafeteria and the media center. If your name is on the list, stop in the office and pick up a form and return it as soon as possible. Let us know if you think you should be on the list and are not (no grade lower than a B- in marking periods 1&2 this year, and marking period 4 last year). ----- Spring Play tickets for The Wizard of Oz are on sale in the Jr./Sr. High office or from Mrs. Shumaker. PreK-6th grade $4, 12 and up $8, 65+ $6. ----- Free after-school tutoring for English, Math, and Social Studies for Jr./Sr. High School students begins March 22nd and 24th from 3-4 pm. Sign up w/ Mrs. Tigner, and make sure you arrange for a ride home afterwards! -----

Mr. Jesse Kalitta has been offered the Boys Varsity Track position for Coleman High School. Mr. Kalitta started with us as a student teacher and now teaches history, social media, online courses and supports students through interventions. Mr. Kalitta is excited to get started working with Mr. Thomas who is the Girls Varsity Coach and has personal experience across multiple track events. He brings an enthusiasm for working with our students and building their skills and is interested in building the program from the ground up by supporting our younger students interested in track with our high school students as leaders. Please take a moment to congratulate Mr. Kalitta when you have the chance!

Interested in possibly pursuing a career in the skilled construction trades? Consider attending the Michigan Construction Career Days event, where 7th-12th graders can explore the many career opportunities available in this field. It's a great opportunity to take advantage of the shortage of skilled construction workers in Michigan and start building a future. Refer to this flyer for registration information.


An Agriscience classroom just always seems to have interesting items in it that are different from others. Here are just a few projects around the classroom this week.





Congratulations to AJ Simon and Carter Brownlee! Both boys recently earned Eagle Scout status, the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouts. The achievement requires proof of proficiency in leadership, service, and outdoor skills.
