While there are differences in when people believe Teacher Appreciation Week is this year due to different dates shared nationally and by the state, our district Board chose Tuesday, May 2nd, as the date to recognize OUR teachers. So, we can start tomorrow and just keep it going all the way through the end of next week!
Our teachers put forth so much knowledge and skill to continuously improve the outcomes of our students in too many ways to mention. They are teachers, coaches, mentors, nurses, parents, counselors, jokers, and confidantes to our students. We greatly appreciate all that they give on a daily basis to our kids and the district as a whole.
As you get a chance, please say thank you, drop a quick note, or give a small token of appreciation to this group that gives so much to the team and community through their efforts each day.

Tomorrow is the day to VOTE for the Coleman Community Schools bond proposal! We hope you'll take some time tomorrow to stop by the polls. Visit the bond page here for more information: https://www.colemanschools.net/page/bond-information-2023
Additionally, #GiveLocalMidland begins TONIGHT at midnight and runs all day tomorrow! If you'd like to help us out and show your support for our district, please consider donating to help us earn matching funds for our Endowment fund! Per the athletic director: Due to weather, St. Charles and Coleman have agreed to postpone tomorrow's JH Track meet and today's softball and baseball games to Wednesday, 5/3/2023.

Thank you Mercantile Bank for coming in today to share with us.

SAFETY is a main priority of the Coleman Community Schools Bond Proposal. Attached are some photos of just a few of the many safety repairs that the bond will address: a window in a classroom that does not lock and is currently being held shut by a piece of wood and the worn-down and splintery stage floor in the auditorium. For more information about what the bond will address, please visit our bond page here: https://www.colemanschools.net/page/bond-information-2023. If you have any questions, please be sure to ask us! There is an inquiry form at the top of the bond web page. Get out there and vote on May 2nd, and please SHARE to spread the word!

Due to the rain forecast tonight, Friday, April 28th, Tawas and Coleman have agreed to cancel tonight. Forecast shows rain starting at 5pm and continuing until the early morning tomorrow. Just to reiterate tonight's game Tawas @ Coleman will be cancelled due to an Act of God.

Mark your calendars for #GiveLocalMidland coming up on May 2nd! Our school has participated in this big Giving Day fundraiser for the past couple of years, and we're excited to announce that we're joining in again!
All donations during this one-day, 24-hr event go to our Coleman Community Schools Endowment fund, which supports our student needs, provides funding for programs, and more. While you can donate to our endowment fund anytime, this special event gives us the opportunity to earn matching funds for our cause. Keep an eye out all day on May 2nd on the district Facebook page for special challenges and awards throughout the day to help us earn more for our Endowment fund!
If you've been thinking about donating to the district, this is your chance to help us reach our goal of $2,500! Check out our profile page here to read more about our story, our endowment fund, and donate! https://www.givelocalmidland.org/organizations/coleman-community-schools
Please SHARE this post if you'd like to help our students keep growing for the future!

We had the pleasure of hearing Ms. Charlotte Begley and Ms. Abigayle Brock kick off our last board meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance! Thank you, girls, for taking on the special honor of being Pledge Leaders!

The bond proposal aims to not only improve the overall safety of the building, but to also recapture and re-equip our space to improve flow of the building to suit our needs as a 21st-century district. Due to our current space limitations, we have no place to store our large stage risers and chair carts. In this picture, they are shown being stored in our front foyer when we needed to use the stage for an event. For more information about what the bond proposal will address, feel free to visit our bond page here: https://www.colemanschools.net/page/bond-information-2023. With the inquiry form at the top, you can send us directly any questions you have, we'd love to help you understand the proposal! Remember to get out and VOTE on May 2nd, and please SHARE to get the word out!

Building safety and instructional excellence are two of the three major focuses of the Coleman Schools bond proposal. One of the plans for the proposal is to update our electrical systems, which are all original to the building when it was built 47 years ago.
Many of our teachers have limited access to electrical outlets in their classroom space. Attached is an image of the only two outlets available in our multimedia/yearbook classroom. For more information about the bond, you can visit our website: https://www.colemanschools.net/page/bond-information-2023 Go out and VOTE on May 2nd, and please SHARE to help spread the word!

Today Mr. Klopf’s 9th grade Health students spent a few hours learning about First Aid and CPR. With support from Chris White and MMR, 53 Coleman 9th grade students received training and guidance in CPR and AED use and will all receive their 2-year certification!

Last week, the second graders went on a field trip to the Chippewa Nature Center where they learned all about water. Later that day, they visited the Farm Lab and learned about agriculture and were able to plant their own bean seed!

We'd love to see you next Tuesday to show you what we have planned! Youcan also get more information and even ask us questions at our wewbsite link: https://www.colemanschools.net/page/bond-information-2023.

Last night was the 5th grade musical, "Pirates, the Musical!" The kiddos did a great job, thanks for all your hard work Comets, and thanks to Mrs. Tallman for directing and organizing the event!
