Coleman Community Schools

Coleman Elementary sent five 5th grade NEHS members to the Youth Impact Partnership Kindnesses Conference at Meridian High School. Students heard speaker Vince Agnew, participated in ice breakers and kindness activities, visited Midland County organizations that have youth based activities, had lunch, and planned the Elementary School’s Week of Kindness Events. The Week of Kindness will be November 10-14.

Administrators Recognition Day is today, and we have some great people to celebrate. We're proud of the team we have built, the care they have for their staff, students and families and the knowledge they bring to make Coleman the absolute best it can be. Just like the rest of our team, I am not sure where we would be without them and we appreciate that they make our jobs easier because we know we can count on each one of them. Besides that, they are just good people who make us laugh, support us, listen to us, hear us out, take on tough situations, juggle a mountain of obligations and just generally make a huge difference to many people every day.

Thank you to Mrs. Cindy Araway (Elementary Principal), Mrs. Sara Hegel (Business Manager), Mr. Michael Cowell (Transportation Director), Mrs. Jen Hess (Jr/Sr High Principal), Mr. Wade O'Dell (Custodial/Maintenance Director), Mrs. Amy Klopf (Elementary MTSS Coordinator), Mr. Kevin Cliff (Jr/Sr High MTSS Coordinator & Athletic Director) and Ms. Sharon Nestorak (Food Service Director) for the countless hours and thought you put into your roles with this Coleman Team.

Be sure to get them taken care of ahead of time!

Come out for a great community night 🎭🎶 at the Coleman Variety Show on Saturday, October 25th, starting at 6:30 p.m. Show up early to grab a good seat and browse the Silent Auction items 🪄✨.

All other proceeds from the Variety Show help make the Coleman Fireworks 🎆 possible after the December Parade 🎄. We love seeing our community come together — hope to see you there! 🙌

6th graders earned their first 10 “We Synergize” points. They chose 15 minutes of extra recess for their celebration. What are “We Synergize” points? Ask a 6th grader. 🙂

Congrats to our October employees of the month: Kris Anderson, Alex Fox, Troy Waddington, and Sara Hegel! ☄️These awards are granted based on staff nominations; final decisions are made by the Board.

☄️ Kris was nominated for being an amazing and patient kindergarten teacher. He is always smiling, positive, and fun. He treats the students with love, while being structured and firm when necessary.
