Welcome to Kayla Coy, a paraprofessional that started with us back in February! She has a varied set of work experiences: an accounting degree, SAE certified auto technician through Helping Hands, and has taught dance for several years to kids of all ages. She has a couple of children in our elementary, too!
Read on to learn a little more about her!
Why did you decide to become a paraprofessional? I was a stay-at-home-mom for almost 5 years. When my daughters started school in Coleman, I decided to start looking for a job. A friend mentioned Coleman was looking for paraprofessionals. I had previously taught kids dance and missed that type of environment, so I figured why not go for it?
What drew you to this opportunity? I was looking for something new while also doing something I love. I loved teaching dance and being able to possibly make a difference in people's lives. The younger years are what play a large part in shaping people's lives. If there's something I can do to help or anything, I will not hesitate.
What does your absolute dream day off look like? My dream day off is having a yes day with my daughters and then reading all night.
Which three emojis best represent your personality? ☺️🤪👍
What's your secret talent? If I had to pick something, I can cook really well. No recipes needed!
