Here's just a bit of what we've been up to with the IGNITE program at the Jr/Sr High School! Building STEM kits, designing models to print with the 3D printer, taking ownership of our space and painting cool space-themed billboards for program highlights, playing games, and chalking the sidewalks with things that we love! Our students have also been playing Dungeons & Dragons on Wednesdays with Mr. Kittle and participating in the new eSports gaming sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays ( must be grade-eligible to participate)!
Whether you want to participate only one day or up to four days a week - we have a spot for you! There are still plenty of open spots.
We can get you a meal during this time as well! Homework help is always available during IGNITE hours. Let us help you be successful this school year.
We will be offering AM programming from 6:45 to 7:45 if there is enough interest and forms are turned in.
ALL THIS IS 100% FREE!!!!!!! 7th - 12th grades!
If you need an application, stop by and see Ms. Lea at her desk on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You may also send her an email at lcozat@cgresd.net or give her a call at (989) 240-0708.

Another reminder about next week's Homecoming Jr/Sr High spirit week themes! Who's excited?!

Hello everyone!

Agriscience afternoon students learned about the commodities of Michigan farming areas and then used the USDA website to research 10 commodities and the dollar values of various other states. This work will all lead to a sculpture students will be creating in future lessons.
Casee Billington is in her second year of the program and was busy extracting honey as part of her work.

Afternoon Culinary students used examples from the morning classes to get started on a recipe by using the "Mise En Place" process, French for "hunt and gather." Students also learned how to avoid cross-contamination, use teamwork, and learn a bit about carryover cooking.

Any additional times may result in arrangements between the parent & administration pertaining to no longer having the device in school.
