Welcome to Ms. Jessica Dashner, one of our newest paraprofessionals! Jessica is also a parent with students in the district. I sat down with her so we could learn a bit more about her:
Why did you decide to become a paraprofessional?
I decided to become a parapro because I love working with youth. I have been debating whether I wanted to become a parapro for many years and decided it was time to give it a try. I have three kids who are students in the Coleman School District. By choosing to work within the school system, it also allows me to spend more time as a mom with my children.
What drew you to this opportunity?
The opportunity to provide direct support to the youth of our community. As a Paraprofessional, I am not only able to help guide students to make good choices academically, but also provide extra support and guidance for any personal needs.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy watching movies, reading, crocheting, or cutting materials with my Cricut!
What adjectives would you use to describe yourself?
Direct, proactive, goal-oriented, funny, and adaptable.
What's your secret talent?
My secret talent is being able to use a Disney quote toward just about any situation!
