Please help us welcome Mr. Anthony Donoff, who is a new full-time custodian with us, splitting his time between the Elementary and the Jr/Sr High School. Mr. Donoff is very excited to be joining us and has experience in property management, maintenance and custodial work with high recommendations for his attitude, work ethic and initiative. Why did you decide to become a custodian?
It’s a good job, with great benefits, great hours, and steady work. A school district is a great atmosphere - much better than a construction site!
Do you have any prior connection with this school district or community?
I don't - I’m was born and raised in Dearborn, but I live in Midland now. My Aunt & Uncle live in Sanford on a piece of property near the Rail Trail, so I was somewhat familiar with the area, but not Coleman in particular.
What drew you to this opportunity?
I’m very drawn to being up north. I didn’t know anybody in Coleman or anything about it when I applied. Now that I've been working here over a month, I totally love Coleman! I love the people, all the staff knows each other, I love Scoops, I love the coffeehouse . . . I thought Midland was peaceful and quiet, but Coleman is amazing!
What do you like to do in your free time?
I like doing strength training by carrying heavy boulders around in a field near Northwood University. Although I don't do them anymore, I used to love running Marathons and participating in Triathlons. I still enjoy running at City Forest every once in a while. Spirituality is also very important to me.
What adjectives would you use to describe yourself?
Happy, upbeat, patient, honest
What's your secret talent?
Having absolute faith in God’s plan for my life - it’s a hard thing to do that takes a lot of trust in Him.
