4th Grade Tulip Project

On Monday our 4th graders meet with our Chippewa Nature Naturalist, Mr. Nate. 4th graders take part in the Journey North Tulip Project. We used scales, calipers, shovels, and four of our 5 senses to observe, predict, collect data and finally plant this year’s crop of tulips. This is also a great lesson in patience as we will not know if all our hard work paid off until April.  4th graders will continue to record ground and air temperatures and make observations of our planting space throughout the winter. It is always fun to see who will be the first one to spot the first sprouts of spring.
