Welcome to Ms. Hanna Singletary, our newest interventionist! Ms. Singletary has been student teaching with Mrs. Nartker, is an asset to the staff, and has a strong instructional and management skill set with students. Welcome officially to the team, Ms. Singletary!
Here's more we learned about Hanna:
Why did you decide to become an interventionist?
I just finished student teaching here at Coleman (and pre-student teaching), so I applied for it to get my foot in the door for teaching in the future. Interventionist work has been a great way to gain some extra teaching practice with students.
Do you have any prior connection with this school district or community?
I have experience subbing, student teaching, and pre-student teaching here at Coleman Elementary, and I’m also engaged to a Comet alum. My mom is from Grand Ledge and my grandparents live in St. Johns. Despite all this, I was actually born and raised in Tampa, FL! I initially moved here to go to MSU and ended up transferring to CMU.
What drew you to this opportunity?
The welcoming environment and helpful staff was what made me want to stay at Coleman Schools when my student teaching was complete. I really enjoy my time here!
What do you like to do in your free time?
Reading, playing with my dog, Daryl, (a yellow/red lab; my fiance named him), and traveling.

What adjectives would you use to describe yourself?
Thoughtful, passionate, organized
What's your secret talent?
Running! I plan to run a half marathon soon (Even though this time of year I seem to do more falling and slipping than I do running!)
