WOW Project

The “WOW” Project was designed with the ideas in mind of continuing to build on the pride the Coleman Community has for its facilities, increasing volunteerism and service learning opportunities of students, staff and community members and ultimately increasing enrollment and attendance through a space that draws people in. The Midland Area Community Foundation (MACF) provides philanthropic leadership to strengthen our community by fostering collaboration and giving today and in the future. Due to the generosity of the MACF and its belief in a recently written proposal for this project, Coleman Community Schools has been awarded a $40,000 to be used toward the plans for this project. Over two weekends in Fall 2019, we will create 7 different teams of volunteers with supervisors who will become a “Curb Appeal Flash Mob” of sorts, following an already designed plan that will be executed to improve the curb appeal both in the District and in a couple of areas of town. Hopefully, this will be the start of a great project in Coleman each year going forward.

We are looking to use this $40,000 as a jumping-off point to gather additional donations of materials, discount on materials, etc. If you are a community member, student, business or other, interested in being a part of this project in any way, please go to the following link:…/1FAIpQLSfmhpf4Hie6vOeTB…/viewform…
